A disappointing weekend for both teams but at least the 1st X1 picked up 19 points

On Saturday 19th May saw Staithes scramble out a 1 wicket victory thanks to a last wicket partnership between keeper Brian Hoggarth (24 not out) and Andrew Theaker (22 not out)

Scores Staithes 137-9 (C Morrison 29, B Hoggarth 24no, A Theaker 22no, A Slaughter 3-25, T Benthall 3-32, M Dring 2-20) beat Heslerton 138-8 (P Bowes 31, S Triffitt 15, M Spaven 18no, S Bowes 5-37) by 1 wicket                                                                 

On Sunday our bowlers could not contain Seamer who with Joe Tiffany (87) and Corey Towell (92no) featuring in a third wicket partnership of 147 set a total of 255-3 after their 45 overs.

Paul Bowes (71) and Rob Middlewood (81) almost equalled the home teams 3rd wicket partnership with 109 during the Heslerton reply but after 45 overs the visitors were 48 runs adrift having lost 6 wickets.

Scores  Seamer 255-3 (D Graham 28, D Lewis 25, J Tiffany 87, C Towell 92no) beat Heslerton 207-6 (P Bowes 71, R Middlewood 81, S Triffitt 25) by 48 runs.

The 2nd X1 were well beaten on their own pitch by Ravenscar, only posting a total of 125 which the visitors knocked off without losing a wicket, Shaun Bayes (62no) and Adam Graham (51no)
