After winning the toss visitors Mulgrave elected to bat first at Heslerton but made slow progress as Paul Kinghorn (2-25) claimed their first 2 wickets restricting them to 35-2 in the first 13 overs, A Leeman having added 26. Steady progress advanced the score to 61-2 after 24 overs and 100-3 after 30. Aussie Connor Lupton and Andrew Wood increased the scoring rate to 140-4 when Lupton (45) was bowled by Dan Jeminson. A final flurry left the final total 171-7 in the allotted 45 overs, Dan Jeminson claiming (2-58) and Mathew Webster (3-51).

Heslerton’s reply stuttered with Paul Bowes (43) returning to the pavilion with the score 65-4 in the 20th over. Tom Benthall helped skipper Sam Triffitt lift the total to 106-5 and Jake Keyworth (22) offered great support. Triffitt finally saw his team to victory with a match winning unbeaten 80 by 3 wickets with only one over remaining, Connor Lupton completing a fine match claiming (4-38) and Chris Knight (2-44)
