After winning the toss visitors Mulgrave elected to bat first at Heslerton but made
slow progress as Paul Kinghorn (2-25) claimed their first 2 wickets restricting them
to 35-2 in the first 13 overs, A Leeman having added 26. Steady progress advanced
the score to 61-2 after 24 overs and 100-3 after 30. Aussie Connor Lupton and Andrew
Wood increased the scoring rate to 140-4 when Lupton (45) was bowled by Dan Jeminson.
A final flurry left the final total 171-7 in the allotted 45 overs, Dan Jeminson
claiming (2-58) and Mathew Webster (3-51).
Heslerton’s reply stuttered with Paul Bowes (43) returning to the pavilion with the
score 65-4 in the 20th over. Tom Benthall helped skipper Sam Triffitt lift the total
to 106-5 and Jake Keyworth (22) offered great support. Triffitt finally saw his team
to victory with a match winning unbeaten 80 by 3 wickets with only one over remaining,
Connor Lupton completing a fine match claiming (4-38) and Chris Knight (2-44)

Heslerton progressed in the National Village Championship beating Ebberston by 34
runs at Ebberston.
A brilliant recovery from 30-4 saw Heslerton post a total of 170-4 thanks to a fabulous
century from skipper Sam Triffitt who was well supported by Vernon Smith (40). Ebberston
were bowled out for 136.
