Heslerton v Forge Valley

Heslerton made a poor start, on their own turf, slipping to 4 runs for 3 wickets in the first 5 overs against a rampant Forge Valley side before being bowled out in 35 overs for an inadequate 109, a total that was bolstered by Stuart Pickard (54) who produced his teams “Man of the Match” performance, all the wickets being shared by the visitors bowlers.

Replying a flurry of boundaries put Valley in command but it was Tom Varey (45) who ensured the East Ayton sides victory by 5 wickets despite Stuart Pickard completing a fine match with (3-37)
