“Premier” Division

Forge Valley were put into bat at Heslerton, making a promising start with Sean Pinder (28) including 5 fours, looking dangerous until he was well caught at slip by Paul Bowes after adding 35 with Micky Glew (33) which included 5 fours but after he was bowled by Scott Brennan the visitors were bewildered by Dan Jeminson (5-7) from 6 overs and Scott Brennan (3-25) from 9 overs being all back in the pavilion for 94.

After the break Paul Bowes and Stuart Pickard (17) added 74 for the first wicket setting up victory for Heslerton by 7 wickets in 30 overs with Bowes remaining unbeaten on 58. Nasar Khan proved Valley’s most successful bowler claiming 3-18 from his 8 overs.

Heslerton 2nds completed a successful season and a complete turnaround from last season, claiming the Division 4 championship beating Ravenscar 2nds by 9 wickets.

Heslerton 2nds 56-1 (Ian Blanchard 31no) beat Ravenscar 2nds 55 all out (Harry Watson 4-19, David Bointon 3-14) by 9 wickets in 15 overs
