Heslerton v Thornton Dale

Thornton Dale were put into bat at Heslerton making a promising but patient start before Adrian Turnbull (32) was bowled by Dan Jeminson with the score on 69 in the 27th over. Andy Hill (63) and Mathew Todd (40) added a further 63 before the former was stumped by Sam Triffitt. Todd soon followed and the visitors resistance was over slipping to 165-7 after their 45 overs, Dan Jeminson claiming (4-49).

Heslerton made an equally impressive reply with Paul Bowes and Ryan Wharton (38) featuring in an opening partnership of 93 before Wharton was caught by Colin Lockwood. Bowes continued to 68 before falling LBW leaving the door open for Sam Triffitt to bring the match to a swift conclusion, smashing 5 x sixes in an unbeaten 37 and victory for the home team by 7 wickets.
