Heslerton v Staithes

Heslerton started strongly with Paul Kinghorn bowling Staithes opener Chris Morrison in the first over without a run on the board. Mathew Webster kept the pressure on with (2-14) from his 7 overs but it was Dan Jeminson (5-17) from 12 overs that created most problems for the visitors having them all back in the pavilion for 92 in 37 overs, Tom Styert top scoring with (30)

In reply Heslerton lost opener Stuart Pickard early but the was the end of any Staithes success as Paul Bowes (60no) and Sam Thackray (28no) took the home team to victory in the 21st over, Chris Morrison bowling a miserly spell of 7 overs, 5 maiden for just 6 runs.
