Heslerton 153-1 (Paul Bowes 68no, Tom Benthall 32no, Rob Middlewood 38) beat Filey 152-9 (T Fitzgerald 48, A Howard 61no,      Adam Spaven 5-39) by 9 wickets.


A fifth wicket partnership of 63 between Tom Fitzgerald (46) and Arron Howard took visitors Filey to 117 in the 38th over before Fitzgerald was run out, the 3rd wicket to fall in that way. The 9th wicket was also taken with a run out as skipper Adam Spaven claimed all 5 wickets taken with the ball for 39 runs, Howard finishing unbeaten on 61 out of a total of 152-9.

After the break Paul Bowes and Rob Middlewood (38) started the home team’s innings with a 63 run opening partnership in 21 overs before Tom Benthall (32no) and Bowes (68no) remained unbeaten adding 90 runs together to record a 9 wicket victory in 41.2 overs
